Charlotte ‘Charlie' House was born 9 th May 1984, in the small seaside town of Hastings, East Sussex, England.
From an early age it was apparent that music & performance held great meaning within her life. ‘I used to sing about everything. Whether happy or sad you could guarantee I would bust into song about it right there and then'.
When she was just six years old her single parent mother made the decision to become a foster carer, initiating within Charlie a strong social conscience and determination to make things better in life, doing so the best way she knew how…through her creativity.
A shy young girl quickly found herself starting to write songs and immersed within the moving sounds of 90's Soul and R&B.
The realness of girl band ‘Eternal' quickly became such a strong inspiration to her musical development that she was soon chasing her dreams of singing and song-writing professionally.
Whilst studying at Performing Arts college only by the grace of God Charlie discovered Kelle Bryan of 'Eternal' would be visiting her home town in aid of a charity event.
After meeting, discussing aspirations and even performing for Kelle she was quickly offered 1 on 1 coaching by Ms Bryan herself at her label ‘Red Hot Entertainment‘.
‘It was an absolutely amazing experience, I was in shock for quite some time because it is so rare for someone's childhood dream to come true and be flipped into a reality. I was not a Christian at the time but I knew from that point on God most definitely had my back!'.
Charlie soon found herself living in the big smoke of London town, a place very different to where she had grown up. Her mother had immigrated to Menorca and so with the move came new and difficult challenges. 'At first it was very lonely time for me, all of my friends were back in Sussex and my mother wasn't even in the same country'. However with sheer determination she persevered. ‘Kelle was great through it all, the kindness and encouragement she gave was my strength. Through her loving actions I then made the decision to enter into a proper, personal relationship with my heavenly father.
I always write the lyrics to my songs first because I feel it very important to have messages within music that people can really relate to, words of understanding, encouragement, wisdom and positivity, for me that's what it's all about'.
Since moving to London Charlie has been involved in many various projects and shows, singing and writing for other artistes (as well as herself ) and also performing as Backing Vocalist for Nu Soul sensation ‘Kyra Simone‘.
